The greatly well known “GTA 5” is free on the Epic Games Store from thursday. Once Owned, the game is all yours for eternity and will be attached to your Epic account. The promotion will end on 21 May.
While Epic has had AAA games previously (Assassin’s Creed, Just Cause) as a major aspect of its free games program, GTA 5 is obviously on another level altogether as the absolute top of the line round of all that isn’t Minecraft with 120 million duplicates sold since its presentation in 2013. It stays a standout amongst other selling rounds of the year, every year, right up ’til the present time.
Epic Games is offering the “Premium Edition” of GTA 5, which gets you the base game and the GTA Online part, just as a Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack that gets you $1 million in-game money for launching your online adventures.
The way Epic Store’s Free games work is that you claim the game in the week its featured and after that week you get to keep the game forever, you can log in to your Epic Games account and download the game at any time after you have claimed it. This just went live Thursday, so jump on some time this week and claim it. If not, who knows whether it will ever be accessible totally free on PC again.
The demand for free GTA 5 is so high that it has knocked the Epic store server offline. Although I somehow managed to get my copy of the Game.
